Within the Product Properties screen you will a Detail section that has the Author name and role associated to the item.
If there is only one author (as will usually be the case), only one row will display.
If there are two authors, two rows will display, and so on.
Within this section there are two fields:
Author Name
Role - for the majority of titles, Role will equal Author. However allowing for a role to be assigned lets us search for titles by Authors and their roles. This comes in most handy for Illustrated items where there is an Author and an Illustrator.
- e.g. you can add Quentin Blake to Roald Dahl titles with Roald Dahl assigned the Role of Author, and Quentin Blake the Role of Illustrator.
- If the Author you are trying to add to the item is not in the system you will need to add them from the Find Author window by clicking on the New button.
- The Short Name is what will appear on the Product Properties screen.
- We suggest the Short Name be LAST NAME, FIRST NAME (not so short is it).
