What it does
Keeps your website in sync with your store
- Automatic updates. Prices, stock levels and new arrivals flow from IMRCHNT to your website on a schedule. Changes made in the store show online within the hour.
- Only what's on the shelf. Items you have in stock are published; items that sell out are marked out of stock and come back automatically when restocked. A large database doesn't flood your website with titles you can't sell.
- Fast after the first run. Only items that actually changed are updated, so routine syncs take minutes.
- Safe by design. Products are never deleted. Items that are discontinued or made inactive in IMRCHNT are hidden or marked out of stock, so links and order history stay intact.
Makes every product page look complete
- Cover images found for you. Covers are looked up by ISBN from Penguin Random House, Open Library and Google Books, and added to each product automatically.
- Real book descriptions. Publisher descriptions are added from Penguin Random House, Google Books and Open Library, replacing empty or title-only descriptions. Anything you've written yourself is never changed.
- No empty or broken image boxes. Items without a cover, such as gifts and sidelines, show a clean book-jacket style image with the title and author. If an image ever fails to load, it's swapped automatically, so your shop pages always look even.
Gives you simple tools to stay on top of it
- Scan and Fill missing. See at a glance how many products are missing a cover or description, then fill them in with one click while you keep working.
- Find a cover for a single book straight from your WooCommerce product list.
- Search and import on demand. Search your IMRCHNT catalog by title, author, ISBN or publisher and add individual titles to your website immediately.
- Status and log. See when the last sync ran, what changed, and any problems, from one screen in WordPress.
How it works
- Your store runs IMRCHNT as usual. Receive stock, change prices and sell at the register like always.
- The plugin checks IMRCHNT in the background. Every hour it picks up what changed, and once a week it reviews your full in-stock catalog.
- Your WooCommerce store updates itself. New titles are added, prices and stock are updated, and covers and descriptions are filled in.
The plugin connects to IMRCHNT's secure cloud service over the internet. Nothing needs to be installed on your in-store computers or network.

Your costs are kept private and never shown to shoppers. You choose which departments to leave off the website.
What you need
- An IMRCHNT account with web store access (your IMRCHNT account manager provides the connection details).
- A website running WordPress 6.4 or newer with WooCommerce 8.0 or newer.
- Web hosting that runs PHP 7.4 or newer and allows outbound internet connections (standard on nearly all hosts).
- Optional: a Penguin Random House API key for publisher marketing copy. Covers from Penguin Random House don't need one.
The plugin works with any WooCommerce theme.
Frequently asked questions
Will it change products I've already set up in WooCommerce?
Only products that match an IMRCHNT item get updated prices and stock. Products that don't match are left alone, and descriptions or images you've added yourself are always kept.
Do all of my IMRCHNT items go online?
By default, only items you have in stock. Out-of-stock items stay off the website until you receive them, and you can exclude whole departments.
What if a book has no cover anywhere?
It shows a tidy book-jacket image with the title and author until a cover becomes available. The plugin checks again automatically.
How often does my website update?
Every hour for changes, plus a full review once a week. You can also run an update any time with one click.
Can I edit products on the website?
Yes. Your own descriptions and images are protected. Prices and stock follow IMRCHNT so your website always matches the store; to show a special web price, use WooCommerce's sale price.
Does it handle large catalogs?
Yes. Updates run in the background in small batches, so even catalogs with tens of thousands of items sync without slowing your website.
