The cost profit summary report will show the  inventory at any point in time, days, weeks or months. Being a summary report individual products are not listed, instead like products are summed together. The product fields you choose will determine the summary level.

Go to: REPORTS > REPORTS > SALES ANALYSIS > COST PROFIT SUMMARY

The cost profit summary report will show the  inventory at any point in time, days, weeks or months. Being a summary report individual products are not listed, instead like products are summed together. The product fields you choose will determine the summary level. 

For example, when designing a report if you select store and department category as your product fields, all products with matching store and department categories will be added together  and generate one line in the report. 

You will also want to select the Beginning inventory fields from the cost profit tab. This represents the inventory value for the selected period/date.

Pick your search criteria and the date period.

Keep in mind we are selecting the Beginning Inventory values, so the get the ending inventory, your period should be one period higher. To get inventory as of  12/31/2020, select by the month for 1/1/2021.
