Advanced Search is available in most Find programs.
It allows you to add, maintain, and save templates that define searches.
Within the Find programs that support Advanced Search the option can be found in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen.

Advanced Search has five choices under its pull-down menu:
Hide/Show: determines whether the Advanced Search window is shown or hidden.
Using the Product screen as an example with Advanced Search = Hide you will see:

With Advanced Search = Show you will see:

Filter: allows you to view Advanced Search templates only you created or templates everyone has created.
- A submenu will appear with your name on top and All Users underneath.
- Click on the option you want.
New: Allows you to create a new template:
- When selected a message box appears, asking you to name the template.
- Key in the name you want and press OK. The new template name now appears in the top field of the Advanced Search window.
- Define the selection criteria for this new template, then Save the template.
- Click on the down arrow at the right of the field and selecting the appropriate category you want to define in Select Field by
- In Select Operation, choose Like, equal to, greater than, less than, greater than or equal to, less than or equal to, Starts, between, and finally not =
- Once you have set the search fields the way you want
- Click on Add
- Click on Yes
- The search criteria you just set will display in the Selected Ranges box.
- Repeat the process as many times as you want to.
- When you are through creating the search template, Close out of it and the search criteria is automatically saved.

Delete. To delete a Search template:
- Find the template you want deleted and select it.
- Choose Delete under the Advanced Search.
- A message box appears asking if you want to delete the template from the system.
- Click on Yes
- The template is now deleted.
