The Author Merge program allows you to merge one author with another.

Generally, you would use this tool if the same author has multiple Author IDs within iMerchant.

To access the Author Merge program go to:

Tools > Administration > Database Maintenance > Global Edits > Author Merge

• There are two fields in the window
  • Remove this Author - The author you select here will be removed from the system after the merge is run.
  • Replace with this Author - The author you want to merge with.
    • All titles attached to the removed author will now be attached to this author, consolidating the data,
• Once you have the Remove/Replace fields filled in
  • Click on the Merge button
