Access the Customer Order Quotes program directly from the Customer Order Find screen.
- From the Customer Order Finder
- Click on the New Quote task bar button.
- This will call up the Find Customer window.
- Select the customer.
- This will take you to the Customer Order Quote properties screen which will look just like the regular Customer Order properties screen.
- From here, simply add the desired products, just as you would with a Customer Order
The difference here is that you are creating a Quote, not an actual Customer Order.
This will be reflected in the Order State field.
Once the Quote is completed, the Order State will be assigned to Quote
Convert Quote to Order
Simply select the Quote in question
Click on the Convert Quote task bar button near the top of the screen.
This calls up Convert Quote to Customer Order window, where you must choose how to handle the Add to TBO options and Vendor options.
You also will be able to select an Order Type here, as well.
Once these parameters are set
Click on the Convert Quote to Order button at the bottom of the window.
The Quote is instantly converted into a Customer Order, and the Order State field will now switch to Open
