Often, customers will place special, or custom orders that need to be filled at a later time.
When that time comes, you can fill the order at the POS.
Here is how...
- At the start of a New sale
- Click on the Find Menu button
- Select Find Customer Order from the Pos Find menu.
- The Find Customer Order screen appears.
- Find and select the Customer Order you are searching for.
- Once accomplished, you will be brought back to the POS, and the Customer Order you selected (with all of the items on it that have not yet been shipped to the customer) will appear on the screen.
Any discounts applied to the products during the Customer Order will automatically be carried over to the POS.
- e.g. if the items on the Customer Order were given a 30% discount, that 30% discount will be reflected at the POS screen when calling up this Customer Order.
- The POS clerk can, if needed, alter these imported Customer Order discounts.
Please note that the Tax Area may be different when you bring in a Customer Order.
- If the Tax Area is different from the default defined in the Register parameter assigned taking the Customer Order.
- That Customer Order Tax Area will be the one that displays at the POS screen.
Additionally, if this is a Charge & Send Customer Order, any shipping charges that were attached when the Customer Order was taken carry over automatically.
- The Shipping line on the POS screen will appear directly above the tax totals line.
If any Tenders were assigned in the Customer Orders program, they will automatically be called up here.
- e.g. if Check was selected there, the Check tender window will automatically appear when the Order is called up here in POS.
If any dollar-amount limits were imposed for a particular tender in the Customer Orders program, the system will default to that amount.
- e.g. the Order comes to $34.00, but the dollar limit for Check was set at $20.00 when the Order was taken, the Check window will fill in with $20.00.
- You can override this, if you and the customer choose to.
Additionally, if more than one tender was chosen in Customer Orders for this Order, they will appear automatically.
- Following along with the above example, if Check was selected as Tender number One, up to $20.00, and Cash was selected as Tender number Two, the Cash tender window will automatically pop up after the Check window is closed.
- Any of this can be over riden at POS.
From this point, complete the transaction as needed.
