Admin Menu Button

Updated on

The Admin Menu button at the bottom right of the POS screen calls up a small window with the following four choices.

  • Void Sale: allows you to void a sale.
  • Find Sale: enables you to find a previous sale based on Sale ID.
    • Note: If security has been activated for this function, you will be prompted to enter the appropriate password before proceeding.
    • Simply enter the search criteria and select the sale you want.
    • You can also scan the original sales receipt to find the sale, as well.
    • Once selected, it will appear on the POS screen, and you can make any necessary changes if needed.
      • Note: Find Sale can also be accessed via the Find Menu at the bottom right of the POS screen
      • Additionally, when you call up an old sale, you can return items from that sale into the current sale, item by item, and then proceed with a customer refund.
      • Items from an old sale can also be brought into a new sale to credit and resell to a customer who mistakenly did not receive reward credits in the original sale.
        • To do this:
          • Find the original sale and return the applicable items into the new sale.
          • Do not include the customer in this new sale, and tender this out as Cash.
          • Now, find the just created sale and return the items.
          • This will reverse the returned items and sell them again.
          • At this point, add the customer in to the sale so rewards will be applied.
          • Finish out the sale using cash, as this will offset the cash refund from the previous sale.
  • No Sale: opens the cash drawer without a sale.
    • Note: If security has been activated for this function, a password prompted will appear
  • Sales Receipt Summary: prints the sales receipt summary for the register you are on.
    • Most likely, you will want to print this at the end of the day.
      • Note: If security has been activated for this function, a password prompted will appear
