How to Sell One Gift Card
From the POS Screen click on the Find Service Button
This will bring up the Find Service window.
Double Click on the Gift Card service.
iM Tip: You can set up this action as a Quick Key. With Quick Keys all you have to do is hit a specific key at POS and Tender - Balance Card window below will pop up
This will pop up a new window in POS where you will enter in the amount of the Gift Card and Scan the Barcode on the back the of the gift card to enter the Gift Card Account Number
You can apply a name to the Gift Card in the Account Name field, but that is not required.
Once you've scanned the card it will be brought into the POS.
Finish the Sale by choosing your tender and you've sold 1 gift card.
Now to use that Gift Card at POS. You scan in the items. The customer presents a Gift Card.
You click on the Balance Card Button.
The Tender Balance window pops up
You scan the gift card and the amount on the card is brought into the sale.
The $20 gift card covered all but $18.59 of the sale.
Click on another tender button (Cash or Credit Card) and apply the rest of the sale to that tender.
Here I've entered 18.59 in cash and the sale is finalized.
From here you can collect the Gift Card from the customer and recycle that card to be sold to another customer at a later date.
The same exact card can be used over and over for as long as the card is resalable condition.
How to Sell a Batch of Gift Cards
So now how do you sell a batch of cards. We very often have customers who need to sell more than one card to one customer.
In order to sell a batch of cards you go throw the initial steps are similar.
Click on the Find Service button
Select Gift Card
Enter in the Amount to go on the cards and scan the first card in the sequence
iM TIP: Have all cards present and make sure their numbers are in sequence.
Double Click on the Qty Field - input your amount and press enter
This will pop up a window to scan in the additional cards. If the cards are in sequence you have the option to Add the cards numbers sequentially.
If they are not in order you would scan each card here, and on the last card scan it will bring you back into POS to finalize the sale.
