Export Inventory to WordPress Website

Updated on

Open iMerchant then click on the Interface drop down menu

Click on WordPress Export Type

If you don't have a WordPress export setup, then create one by picking a CODE and DESCRIPTION of the export.  Then fill in the FTP settings to your wordpress website including FTP Username, Password, URL along with the incoming file path to the location of the WP All Import processing folder.

Example Folder Path: ****************

Select the Send / Receive Folder: C:\ComputacApps\ [ADD A FOLDER HERE TO STORE]

Next fill in the Filename Prefix and Outlet ID, used to name the file and use your company name.

Next click on FIELDMAPPING and select the following fields on the right hand side using the [i]merchant field

USE THE FOLLOWING FIELDS:

  • Title / DESCRIPTION in [i]merchant
  • Ingram Marketing Description
  • Ingram Annotations
  • Publisher
  • Author
  • Edition
  • Discount
  • SKU
  • ISBN
  • Retail Price
  • Ingram Basic Subject Category Description
  • Ingram - High Res Image

Once selected, click on either USER DATA or a field name to name the column in your export file.

Next select your Query, used to select items to send

  • Usually always pick HAS ON HAND as option to confirm all items are current
  • Next select a department category of a main type of product (NON-FICTION, BEGINNER..)

Next run your export file using the CREATE FILE buttons, create an export file for each type of department category to build your website inventory in stages.  Building one import file usually will bog down the system and isn't recommended since the file would need to include 20+K in titles.  Building the export files by category will confirm all titles get included into the website.
