Make Sure a Customer Order Reflects Current Promotion

How do you make sure that a Customer Order reflects the your current retail price including discounts

This was brought to our attention when a customer took pre-orders for Fire and Fury. In the time between the orders being placed and book being but on the shelf it became an NYT Bestseller and therefore qualified for a discount.

Customers who had pre-ordered the book were being charged X amount and customers who bought the book off the shelf were being given a discount.

In order to ensure that customers who have pre-ordered books are paying the correct amount, within Tools > Options under the Customer Orders tab make sure you check the box for Apply Current Sale Promotions when sold

This option will be overridden if within the Customer Order you filled out a Promised Price
