POS/ Charge it Pro
Changes were made to how POS will handle voids.
The Charge It Pro processor does not allow a charge transaction to be voided after a short period of time, about 30 minutes. To compensate for this, POS was updated so that a hard void transaction will issue a refund automatically. The refund uses a saved token that is obtained when the initial sale transaction occurs. The token and the expiration date can be seen in the POS Tender transaction finder for the sale. No user input is required, [i]merchant looks up the initial transaction and passes the token to the Charge it Pro device.
Under certain conditions a Charge It Pro transaction is approved with a duplicate tag.
If POS sees the duplicate tag, it will perform and inquiry to see if the duplicated transition is from the same [i]merchant Sale ID, on the same card number for the same dollar amount. If the conditions are all true, POS will automatically void the initial transaction and alert the cashier that a duplicate transaction was found and voided. The EMV receipts generated by Charge it Pro will print the original, duplicate and voided transactions. The Merchant and/or Customer EMV receipt option must be enabled for these receipts to print.
