The mapping tool for front list fields to product fields has been improved. This option is available under Tools, Options, on the Purchasing tab.

The Product and product detail codes fields have been added to field selection list.

When selecting a “code” field the code value from the front list file must match an existing code for the parameter.

Web Importer

When importing a customer order using the product number or ISBN, imrchnt assumes the product is from the store assigned to the customer order.  If the product does not exist in in the target store, imrchnt adds the product. (2469)

Since used items and non-book products may be exported using the SKU number, the exact item selected on the web site is known. When processing a product by SKU, imrchnt will add the product to the customer order even though the product may not be in the same store as the customer order.

A menu option was added that allows specific web order numbers to be processed.

The Selected Orders order option is intended to be used while setting up and testing the Web Importer.

This allows the store to import and follow specific test order through the system. Web Orders not included in the selection list will not be imported so that they can be handled using the current store’s current web import procedures.

To Be Ordered Rules

When adding a customer order, either from customer order properties, or from the Web Importer process, a “To Be Ordered” (TBO) entry can be made by checking the “Add to TBO” box.  Checking the “Add to TBO” box applies the selected order type to the product ordered.

This release replaces the TBO type with a To Be Ordered Rule. TBO Rules allow imrchnt to examine the product and decided if a TBO is needed and apply an order type based on availability.  Smartly crafted rules can eliminate entries in the TBO list for items that should not be reordered such as used products, or forthcoming products that have been ordered but not yet published.  Specific order types can be assigned to products that are allocated, available from another location, or simply need to be ordered. Differentiating the order types helps the allows the buyer when reviewing orders

The release update generated a TBO rule for each order type. The generated rule will apply order types exactly as they were applied in previous releases.
