If you do not have an internet connection you will not be able to set up a store, you must have an internet connection for the initial setup.
The first step is to establish the connection from store to [I]Merchant server.
To do this install [I]Merchant in the order listed below.
1) POS for .Net v1.12
2) OPOS_Info
3) Current Version of [I]Merchant
4) [I]Merchant SQL Installer 9.10.20 (Only install DotNet_framework if asked for)
Once [I]Merchant is installed go to the C drive, program files, Computac inc folder and open the [I]Merchant folder.
Find and click on Connection Manager.exe
Fill out Connection Manager as follows:
Connection Name-default
User ID-sa
Password-Computac12
Database-imerchant
Server Name-SERVIDOR\IMERCHANTSQL
Click on test connection, if “ok” click on save connection, then close connection manager. Now click on the [I]Merchant icon and you should be logged in on the [I]Merchant server. Now log off.
Setting up OPOS; Do not add the printer to windows.
Click on start, find OPOS. You should find a set up option, bring that up.
Right click on the printer, add new device.
In the select device field, find your printer. In the select detailed model find the particular model. If it is a USB printer choose the model with the “U”.
Follow the same procedures for the cash drawer. Assuming that your cash drawer plugs into the printer, choose standard and standardu options. If the cash drawer is attached to the POS system in some other manner then you can try the multi options.
Setting up the PC and registers in [I]Merchant.
Click on tools, Administration, PC settings. Click on new,
A screen will display with the name of the PC in it. Click on next.You will be at this screen. Click on the down arrows for both printers and cash drawer add then to the field and put a check in the use box.
Click on the binoculars, for register a find parameter screen will come up, click on new to the following screen:
Code and Description should reflect the store location. They can be anything. For store choose the correct store and for a register number I would suggest a different register for each store. For Tax Area choose Colombia tax, the rest of the fields can remain blank. Save this, back at the grid select it into the PCsettings screen.
You should at this point have all of the POS equipment assembled, if you log into the [I]Merchant server with on of the pos logins supplied, pos1, pos2, etc. Passwords are the same. You should go right to the POS screen.
Setting up offline;
Log back into [I]Merchant to setup offline:
Click on tools, Administration, POS Server(Off-Line Servers)
Click on New POS Server.
Pos Server ID-I would use the store numbers,
POS Server Name-I would use the POS names, pos1, pos2, etc.

Click on Test Connection, it should say “ok”.
Log out of [I]Merchant and open Connection Manager as instructed above. The last field on Connection Manager is POS Server. Click on the down arrow and find the pos server for the particular store. Click on test connection you should see ok. Save the connection. Close Connection Manager.
Log back into [I]Merchant , click on tools, Administration, POS Servers (Offline Servers), Highlight the server for the store in the grid and click on update server. A window will open indicating the PC that will be updated. Click on Update Pos Server again. This process will update the empty database on the PC.
